I love training, being strong, staying lean, and looking good. But I don't want fitness to take over my life.
I usually train around three days a week. When I'm there, I train hard. I lift heavy, do pull-ups, train my arms, chest, shoulders, legs, and abs. Then I recover.
Sometimes I rest one day, sometimes two. I listen to my body instead of forcing another workout just because it's on the schedule.
More Isn't Always Better
Your body needs recovery. Training gives your muscles a reason to grow, but food, sleep, and rest are part of the process too.
The same goes for my diet. I eat mostly whole foods, but I also enjoy sweets and foods I like sometimes. I'm not trying to live like a professional bodybuilder.
For me, the goal is simple: look good, feel strong, stay lean, and still have a life.
I want a routine I can maintain for years, not something extreme I can only follow for a few months.
Fitness should improve your life, not become your entire life.
